Projects for 2019

Completed Projects for 2019

As in Previous years I like to keep track of the projects I have completed.  So here goes for 2019.

Noah's Ark Love Quilt - made from odds and ends from my stash.  Will be giving it to Love Quilts to go to Children who are ill.

The previous 8 pictures are from the Quiet Books I made for my great-grandchildren for Christmas  I Had fun making them and I hope they have as much fun with them as I did.

This Amish ball was for my youngest Great-Granddaughter for Christmas  I love making these things - uses up scraps and odds and ends and goes together really easy - even when you lose the directions!!

Cute pocket pot holder - Found the little kitchen items at a local small business hardware store where you can get almost anything.  Easy project and useful too.  Gave three as gifts to friends.

Women of the Bible Quilt  This was designed by me and my friend Merrie Oaks for our church group called Lydia Circle.  I designed several of the blocks and redesigned others from old standby blocks.  I wrote the directions and Merrie taught the classes.  The Women represented are Esther, Anna, Hulda, The woman at the well, Hannah, Priscilla, Lydia, Rahab, Ruth,  Joannah, Abigail and Deborah.  I completed mine in September 2019.

Fun on the Farm was a block of the month by Eleanor Burns, it was a fun project to do.  There were 14 blocks presented.  Some of them I did just as she gave them to us, but some of them I redesigned or created myself and added two more to make 16.  It was completed in August 2019.  I will probably give it to a friend or a great grandchild one day.

Sylvia's Bridal Sampler from the Elm Creek Quilt books.  I started this over 4 years ago with an online quilt club doing 1 block a week - There are 140 blocks.  I made the last of the blocks this past winter.  It is machine quilted on my domestic machine and put together in my personal Quilt As You Go Method.  It was completed on August 1.

This quilt is called Life's Journey - subtitled Flight of Doves.  I created this quilt for my quilting group at church.  It is machine pieced and quilted on my domestic machine in my personal Quilt as you go method.

This is called Butterfly Rainbows.  It is machine Appliqued with a prairie points border.  It was completed on May 15th an was girted to my Great GrandDaughter Kallie Grace Selhost, born May 15, 2019 near Chicago.

Purrr-fectly Pretty is a machine pieced and quilted piece.  It was completed on May 15 and gifted to my Great Niece  Harper Freddie McClean born May 17 in Australia.

In an effort to hurry Spring along, I designed a daffodil wreath to hang on my front door.   Completed it on March 2  - 18 more days till Spring.
